Woods Climate Control Terms and ConditionsLast Updated: April 2026These Terms and Conditions govern all services, quotes, repairs, installations, and maintenance provided by Woods Climate Control (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”). By requesting a quote, scheduling service, or allowing us to perform work at your property, you (“Customer”) agree to be bound by these terms.1. ServicesWe provide heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) services including:

Free estimates/quotes

Repairs and emergency service

New installations and replacements

Routine maintenance and tune-ups

Indoor air quality solutions
All work is performed by licensed and insured technicians using industry-standard practices. Exact scope of work will be detailed in your written quote or service agreement.2. Quotes and Estimates

All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

Quotes are based on information provided by you and a visual inspection. Hidden issues (e.g., duct damage, electrical problems, or asbestos) discovered during work may result in additional charges.

A written change order is required for any modifications to the original scope, which may increase the price.
3. Payment Terms

Quotes/Installations: A deposit may be required. Final payment is due upon completion of work unless other arrangements are made in writing.

Repairs and Service Calls: Payment is due at the time of service (cash, check, or approved credit card). Emergency/after-hours calls may include a higher service fee.

Late payments may incur a 1.5% monthly finance charge (or the maximum allowed by law).

Returned checks will incur a $35 fee.

We accept most major credit cards, but a convenience fee may apply.
4. Warranty

Labor: We provide a 90-day warranty on workmanship for repairs (starting from the date of service).

Parts/Equipment: Manufacturer warranties apply to new equipment. We assign any transferable manufacturer warranties to you but do not extend or assume responsibility for them.

Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, lack of maintenance, acts of God, power surges, or normal wear and tear.

Maintenance plans may extend warranty coverage if kept current.
Unauthorized repairs or modifications void all warranties.5. Customer Responsibilities

Provide clear access to the work area and ensure the premises are safe.

Remove personal items or obstacles before our arrival.

Inform us of any known hazards (asbestos, mold, pets, etc.).

Maintain the system according to manufacturer recommendations. Failure to do so may void warranties.

For installations: Ensure adequate electrical service, gas lines, chimney condition, and permits (if required) are handled or approved.
6. Limitations of LiabilityWe are not responsible for:

Pre-existing conditions or damage discovered during service.

Consequential damages (e.g., loss of food, business interruption, or discomfort).

Issues caused by improper use, third-party repairs, or failure to maintain the system.

Delays due to weather, parts availability, or events beyond our control.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service or installation.7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Service calls cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee.

Installations cancelled after materials are ordered or work has begun may result in charges for materials and labor incurred.
8. Permits and ComplianceYou are responsible for obtaining any required building permits unless we explicitly agree in writing to handle them. We comply with all applicable Michigan codes and regulations.9. InsuranceWe carry general liability and workers’ compensation insurance. Your homeowners insurance should cover any pre-existing issues or damages not caused by our negligence.10. Governing LawThese terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any disputes shall be resolved in courts located in the county where the service was performed.11. Changes to TermsWe may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
